Snap Report: Page Valley

Just back from the Page Valley Road Race. Full report to come, but today merits at least a quick, dehydrated and exhausted re-cap, bullet point-style.

Tim R. joined Chris S. in the 1/2 race. 72 miles. Just got a text from Tim: “Lost eight pounds in water weight today.”
Tim B., Sam, Tony A., Lance and I raced the Cat 3 race. 63 miles. Tim took third. We worked our asses off to bring back a break, but two guys managed to stay off the front. In hindsight, some help from other teams would have been nice.
Dennis proved that the Dutch can not only race in crappy Spring weather, but also insane Summer weather. He took second in the Cat 4.
Justin R. completed his romp through Cat 5 by taking second, just two days after being formally brought onto the team. Good find, it seems.
It. Was. 97. Degrees. Today. Not a cloud in the sky. No one could drink enough to stay hydrated. Fields were shattered.
Chuck Hutch is a freakin’ monster.
