We here at District Velocity Racing do not ask for race resumes, much less do we demand that you have a fancy bike or have read “The Rider” cover-to-cover. (Though you really, really should.)
We do want prospective new members to get to know the team, come out and ride with us a few times and get a sense of who we are, where we have come from and what we are here to do. Cycling is a team sport, after all, and we strive to ensure that we both race well and interact well.
Anyone interested in joining the team must attend at least three team training rides and at least one team social function, such as our monthly dinner. We also charge annual dues. Club officers will consider granting membership within one week of satisfaction of those requirements. The officers will take member input into consideration before accepting or denying membership.
New members are required to wear the District Velocity Racing team kit on all training rides and races. All members are required to obtain a USA Cycling road racing license with District Velocity Racing listed as your club. Admittance to our Google discussion group requires team membership.
